Role Overview:

- The Head of EV Asset Management will oversee the entire lifecycle of electric vehicle (EV) assets within the company's leasing portfolio.

- This role involves managing the procurement of vehicles, monitoring fleet operations, ensuring vehicle uptime, utilization, and health, and driving efficiency in total cost of ownership (TCO) and lifecycle management.

- You will establish a Fleet Operations Center, generate insights and analytics for data-driven decision-making, and manage key fleet KPIs.

- Leverage our proprietary digital asset management platform FleetOS to derive insights and alerts, and design outcomes to optimize the core KPIs through the lifecycle of the vehicle in its first life and subsequent deployments.

- This role requires a deep understanding of fleet management, servicing, uptime management and TCO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fleet Operations Center Development:

- Build and lead a centralised Fleet Operations Center focused on monitoring real-time data of EVs in the fleet

- Implement technology and tools for fleet tracking, vehicle performance monitoring, and predictive maintenance

2. Fleet KPIs & Performance Monitoring:

- Own and monitor core KPIs including fleet uptime, vehicle utilisation rates, health monitoring, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and lifecycle costs

- Develop systems to track and analyze vehicle performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement

- Identify and implement cost-saving measures across the fleet, ensuring the financial health of the asset portfolio to derive optimal IRRs for the business

3. Insights & Analytics:

- Generate regular reports and actionable insights on fleet performance, utilisation, and operational efficiencies for internal and external stakeholders

- Use data analytics to identify optimisation opportunities and improve vehicle uptime, health, and overall fleet efficiency.

- Leverage AI, IoT, and telematics solutions to enhance vehicle monitoring and decision-making

4. Insurance & Claims Management:

- Manage the renewal of fleet insurance policies and ensure optimal coverage across the fleet

- Handle all claims related to accidents, breakdowns, or other insurance-related incidents, ensurin timely and accurate processing

5. Regulatory & Contract Compliance:

- Ensure all vehicles in the fleet comply with regulatory, safety, warranty and environmental standards

- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure vehicles meet client needs and contractual obligations

- Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies related to fleet performance, lease contracts, and insurance coverage

- Work with technology and product teams to continuously improve our digital asset management platform

Customer & Supplier Management:

- Manage relationships with customers, service providers, and suppliers

- Negotiate contracts and ensure SLAs are met to drive cost efficiencies and performance improvements

Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in fleet management, asset management, or operations management, preferably in EV or automotive sectors

- Strong knowledge of EV technology, telematics, IoT, and analytics tools for fleet monitoring

- Proven ability to manage large-scale fleet operations, procurement processes, and supplier relationships

- Proven record of being in an ownership driven position in vehicle maintenance, preferably commercial vehicles

- Experience with insurance management, claims processing, and risk mitigation strategies

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets

- Experience in troubleshooting technical challenges of vehicles (preferred core experience with commercial vehicles)
