
Role Overview:
The Ethics and Compliance Head will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's ethics and compliance program. This role involves working closely with senior management, legal counsel, and various business units to ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Ethics and Compliance Head will play a critical role in fostering a culture of integrity and ethical behavior throughout the organization, mitigating risks, and safeguarding the company's reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ethics and compliance program tailored to the organization's specific needs and risk profile, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough investigations into alleged violations of the code of conduct, policies, or applicable laws, providing objective findings and recommendations for corrective action to senior management.
- Design and deliver engaging training programs on ethics, compliance, and related topics to employees at all levels, promoting awareness and understanding of their responsibilities.
- Establish and maintain effective channels for reporting potential ethics and compliance concerns, ensuring confidentiality and non-retaliation for whistleblowers.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the ethics and compliance program through regular audits, risk assessments, and data analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Provide guidance and support to business units on ethics and compliance matters, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across the organization.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other relevant departments to stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations, updating the ethics and compliance program accordingly.
- Oversee the company's safety monitoring programs, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Lead and manage organizational transformation initiatives related to ethics and compliance, driving cultural change and embedding ethical values into the company's DNA.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential ethics and compliance risks across the organization.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive ethics and compliance programs.
- Proven expertise in conducting complex investigations and resolving ethical dilemmas.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to ethics and compliance.
- Experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 16-20 years of experience in ethics, compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
