Head - ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Why does this Role exist: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our company's ESG strategy and initiatives. ESG Strategy Development and Implementation: - Develop a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the company's vision, values, and business objectives. - Lead the integration of ESG considerations into various departments, ensuring alignment with operational goals. - Collaborate with senior leadership to establish ambitious yet achievable ESG targets and metrics. 2. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: - Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, NGOs, regulatory bodies, and industry groups, to promote transparent and open dialogue on ESG matters. - Develop and oversee communication strategies to effectively convey the company's ESG efforts to diverse audiences. 3. ESG Reporting and Compliance: - Oversee the preparation of accurate and comprehensive ESG reports and disclosures that meet global reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements. - Ensure timely and accurate submission of ESG-related information to relevant indices, rating agencies, and stock exchanges. 4. Risk Management and Mitigation: - Identify and assess ESG-related risks that could impact the company's reputation, financial performance, and long-term sustainability. - Develop strategies and initiatives to mitigate ESG risks and seize opportunities for business growth. 5. Internal Collaboration and Training: - Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, finance, supply chain, and HR, to ensure alignment of ESG principles and practices across the organization. - Provide guidance and training to employees on ESG awareness, best practices, and their role in achieving ESG goals. 6. Regulatory and Industry Engagement: - Stay current with evolving ESG regulations, standards, and trends globally, and advocate for the company's interests in relevant forums and associations. - Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and thought leadership activities to promote the company's ESG initiatives. 7. Ethical Governance and Diversity: - Champion ethical business practices and corporate governance standards that reflect the highest level of integrity and accountability. - Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company's workforce and business practices. Industry and Educational Qualifications needed for this Job: - Master's degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or Law. Additional ESG-related certifications are a plus. - Experience of 15+ years in ESG leadership roles, preferably within a multinational corporation or consulting firm.
