
Head - ERP Implementation
Job Description:
As Head of ERP for one of India's largest multi-specialty hospital groups, you will own the complete lifecycle of the group's ERP landscape while leading a transformative migration from legacy Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP ECC to a unified Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform. This strategic leadership role combines hands-on governance of current operations with the execution of one of the largest healthcare ERP consolidation programs in the country, ensuring seamless support for financial, supply-chain, and administrative functions in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and governance for the existing Oracle E-Business Suite implementation and multiple SAP ECC instances across the group
- Oversee day-to-day operations, change request management, and timely resolution of internal/external audit observations
- Ensure 247 system availability, performance tuning, and compliance with healthcare regulatory standards
- Lead the group-wide migration and consolidation program from Oracle E-Business Suite & SAP ECC to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP
- Define migration strategy, wave planning, data migration, cut-over, and hyper-care
- Manage multi-crore program budget, timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of ERP functional specialists, technical consultants, and analysts
- Build capability, succession depth, and a Centre of Excellence culture
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Technology teams across all group entities and external system integrators/implementation partners
- Drive cross-functional process harmonization and change management
- Own vendor and partner ecosystem - Oracle, SAP, implementation partners, integration vendors, and managed service providers
- Champion data governance, master data management, analytics, and readiness for AI/ML initiatives on the Fusion platform
- Ensure robust security, controls, segregation-of-duties framework, and adherence to standards like NABH & HIPAA standards, and statutory requirements like DPDP
Role Requirements -
15+ years of progressive ERP experience with at least 3 end-to-end large-scale implementations as Program/Delivery Head
- Hands-on experience in one or more of Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP ECC/S/4HANA, and Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Finance, SCM, HCM, EPM) and relevant certifications
- Proven track record of successfully leading migration/consolidation from Oracle EBS and/or SAP to Oracle Fusion
- Deep expertise in managing live Oracle E-Business implementations (change requests, patching, audit remediation, support) in complex multi-entity environments - Prior experience in healthcare/hospital IT strongly preferred; candidates from pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other highly regulated sectors will also be considered
- Strong functional knowledge of Finance & Controlling, Procurement & Inventory (drugs/consumables), HR/Payroll, and doctor & patient accounting processes
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage system integrators - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with regular exposure to C-level and clinical leadership
