Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Head of Research to lead our equity research function, with a strong focus on the Indian equity markets. The role requires deep expertise in fundamental analysis, proven experience across buy-side and sell-side research, and the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing research team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the equity research function covering Indian markets

- Drive high-quality fundamental research, including financial modeling, valuation, and sector analysis

- Generate and validate investment ideas and actionable stock recommendations

- Supervise and mentor a team of research analysts, ensuring quality and consistency of output

- Collaborate with investment/advisory teams to align research insights with portfolio strategies

- Track macroeconomic trends, policy changes, and sector developments impacting markets

- Review research reports, investment notes, and client deliverables

- Build and maintain relationships with institutional clients, management teams, and industry experts

- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards

Key Requirements

- Strong experience in Indian equity markets with exposure to both buy-side and sell-side research

- Proven track record in fundamental analysis and stock picking

- Prior experience in leading or managing research teams

- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and market cycles

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

- Ability to take ownership and drive research strategy

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent qualification

- Experience in PMS / AIF / Asset Management / Brokerage firms
