Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Research - Equity to lead and drive the equity research function for a reputed financial services organisation.
The role will involve leading the research team, setting the overall research framework, driving investment insights, and ensuring high-quality, actionable research output across sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Equity Research function and research team.
- Drive the overall equity research strategy, methodology, and coverage.
- Oversee fundamental research across sectors and companies.
- Review and validate research reports, investment views, financial models, and valuation analysis.
- Develop strong sector and company-level investment insights.
- Guide analysts in conducting detailed financial, industry, and company analysis.
- Monitor market developments, corporate actions, sector trends, and key macro factors impacting investments.
- Work closely with senior management and internal stakeholders to communicate research views and market perspectives.
- Maintain high standards of research quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Build and strengthen the research team's capabilities and coverage.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience in Equity Research, preferably from a broking or sell-side research background.
- Prior experience in leading or managing an Equity Research team or function.
- Strong understanding of fundamental research, financial modelling, valuation, and equity markets.
- Good track record of producing high-quality research and actionable investment views.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Candidates with established sector coverage and strong market understanding will be preferred.
