Role Overview:

Our Client is looking for a Head Engineering to lead the engineering function across its pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. The role will be responsible for ensuring high standards of plant engineering, utilities, maintenance, projects and technical infrastructure across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the Engineering function across all pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.

- Must have experience of Greenfield engineering projects, including setting up and commissioning new manufacturing facilities.

- Ensure high standards of plant maintenance, reliability and operational efficiency.

- Oversee utilities and critical engineering systems across manufacturing facilities.

- Drive engineering projects, capacity expansion, plant upgrades and technology improvements.

- Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance practices.

- Lead initiatives to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency and cost optimisation.

- Ensure engineering systems and facilities meet GMP, EHS and regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, EHS and Supply Chain teams to support smooth plant operations.

- Develop engineering standards, systems and processes across plants.

- Build and develop strong engineering teams at plant and corporate levels.

- Evaluate and implement new technologies and engineering solutions.

- Support the organisation in setting up new facilities and expanding existing manufacturing capabilities.

Candidate Profile:

- 20+ years of experience in Engineering, preferably across multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.

- Experience must include Greenfield engineering projects, including setting up and commissioning new manufacturing facilities.

- Strong experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is essential.

- Should have handled engineering and maintenance responsibilities across multiple manufacturing sites.

- Strong understanding of plant engineering, utilities, maintenance, projects and CAPEX.

- Experience in plant expansion, technology upgrades and commissioning of manufacturing facilities.

- Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory and EHS requirements applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing.

- Should have demonstrated experience in managing large engineering teams and multiple stakeholders.

- Engineering degree from a reputed institution; postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management capabilities.
