What You'll Own
1. Technology Vision & Roadmap- Align tech priorities with business strategy- Translate high-level goals into executable engineering initiatives- Set clear short- and long-term milestones
2. Hands-On Development- Code and review critical projects yourself- Keep platforms stable, fast, and cost-efficient- Optimize site performance, CMS, internal tools, ERP, CRM integrations
3. Cross-Functional Execution- Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, design, and product- Oversee external vendors where relevant- Implement effective tech project management practices
4. Team Leadership- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering and product team- Foster a culture of ownership and smart, independent decision-making
5. Data & Intelligence- Develop internal data pipelines and BI dashboards- Use data to power marketing, logistics, and customer experience decisions
Ideal Candidate Profile- Strong engineering background with a track record of shipping production-quality code
- 2-3 years leading tech teams, preferably in e-commerce or D2C
- Experience with Shopify, Magento, or custom stacks; AWS/GCP; analytics tools
- System thinker with the ability to execute fast
- Confident communicator across technical and business stakeholders
