Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Architecture:
- Define and own the end-to-end technology vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap.
- Lead architecture across trading engines, transaction processing, ledgers, custody, compliance, infrastructure, security, and data platforms.
- Drive technology modernization and continuous architectural evolution.
- Evaluate and execute build vs buy vs partner decisions for critical platform capabilities.
- Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Engineering Leadership:
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing engineering organization across Backend, Frontend, Infrastructure, QA, DevOps, and Security.
- Define engineering standards, architecture governance, release management, and operational excellence.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop senior engineering leaders and technical talent.
- Establish engineering best practices including design reviews, code reviews, and technical governance.
Product Delivery & Platform Execution:
- Deliver highly scalable financial products including derivatives, perpetual futures, and options platforms.
- Build risk, margin, liquidation, reconciliation, and settlement capabilities.
- Drive multi-region and multi-market platform expansion.
- Ensure engineering execution with measurable SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and performance benchmarks.
Security & Risk Management:
- Own platform security strategy including identity, access management, key management, secrets management, custody architecture, and threat modeling.
- Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and platform resilience initiatives.
- Ensure customer asset protection through secure architecture and operational controls.
Compliance & Regulatory Technology:
- Build scalable compliance platforms supporting regulatory reporting, surveillance, monitoring, and audit requirements.
- Partner with regulators, auditors, banking partners, and external stakeholders during audits and technical due diligence.
- Ensure compliance with global financial and data protection regulations.
Executive Leadership:
- Own engineering budgets, cloud infrastructure costs, vendor relationships, and technology investments.
- Present technology strategy, delivery plans, and risk assessments to executive leadership and the Board.
- Drive engineering investment decisions aligned with business objectives.
