Position Overview:

The Head of Digitalization is responsible for leading the digital transformation initiatives and leveraging artificial intelligence to drive innovation, efficiency, and value creation within the business unit. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of digital strategies and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Digital Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the goals of the business unit.

- AI Integration: Identify opportunities for AI implementation to optimize processes such as mining, refining, logistics, and supply chain management.

- Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through the adoption of digital technologies and AI.

- Project Management: Lead digitalization projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.

- Data Management: Oversee data governance and ensure the effective use of data analytics to drive decision-making and operational efficiency.

- Process Optimization: Utilize digital tools and AI to enhance operational processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity in copper extraction, processing, and distribution.

- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to integrate digital and AI solutions seamlessly into existing workflows and business processes.

- Talent Development: Build and lead a team of digital and AI experts, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.

- Performance Monitoring: Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of digital and AI initiatives.

Qualifications:

- Around 10 years of experience in digital transformation and AI implementation, preferably within the mining or metals industry.

- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.

- Proven track record of leading successful digitalization projects and excellent project management and organizational skills.
