Role Overview

The company is looking for a high-impact leader to head its Digital Commerce business across Q-Commerce, Marketplaces, and D2C channels.

This role will own the end-to-end digital business strategy, growth, profitability, and execution across key online channels. The mandate is to build digital channels into a large, scalable, and profitable growth engine while establishing category leadership across major platforms.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen with execution excellence, platform relationships, analytical rigor, and entrepreneurial thinking.

Key Responsibilities


Business & P&L Ownership

- Own complete P&L for Q-commerce, D2C, and marketplace channels

- Drive revenue growth while improving contribution margins and ROI

- Build annual operating plans, quarterly targets, and scalable growth roadmaps

- Deliver sustainable and profitable digital expansion

Digital Commerce Strategy

- Define and execute channel strategy across:

Blinkit

Zepto

Swiggy Instamart

Amazon

Flipkart

BigBasket

D2C platforms

- Build channel-wise assortment, pricing, promotions, and launch strategies

- Develop repeatable growth playbooks for product launches and category expansion

Platform Partnerships & Growth

- Build and manage senior-level relationships with key platform stakeholders

- Lead strategic account development and geographic expansion

- Negotiate commercial terms, visibility programs, growth investments, and promotional partnerships

- Identify emerging digital commerce opportunities and partnerships

Operating Excellence

- Establish strong operating cadence through reviews, dashboards, and performance tracking

- Drive excellence across:

Availability

Fill rates

Content hygiene

Service levels

Supply coordination

- Improve execution quality and scalability across all digital channels

Media, Promotions & ROI

- Own channel marketing spends and media ROI

- Partner closely with growth and performance marketing teams

- Drive disciplined experimentation across ads, offers, and promotions

- Ensure profitable scaling through data-led decision-making

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Build and lead a high-performing Digital Commerce organization

- Define KPIs, governance mechanisms, and operating processes

- Mentor teams across marketplace management, operations, analytics, and D2C growth

- Create scalable systems and execution frameworks

Candidate Profile

- 6 to 15 years of experience in Digital Commerce, E-commerce, Q-commerce, or Online Retail leadership roles

- Proven experience scaling digital revenue with direct P&L ownership

- Strong understanding of FMCG / food categories and consumer internet ecosystems

- Established relationships with major platforms including Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket

- Strong commercial and analytical acumen across:

Revenue growth

Contribution margins

Trade spends

ROI management

- Experience building teams, operating rhythms, and scalable processes

- High ownership, execution intensity, and entrepreneurial mindset

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced founder-led environment
