Hiring for a Head of Digital Commerce for a Series A funded D2C brand

(Q-Commerce, D2C & Marketplaces)

Location: Mumbai (HQ)

Function: Digital Business & Growth

Key Responsibilities:

Business & P&L Ownership

- Own end-to-end P&L for Q-commerce, D2C, and marketplace channels

- Drive revenue growth with focus on contribution margin, ROI, and sustainable scale

- Build annual and quarterly business plans with clear targets and accountability

Channel Strategy & Scale

- Define and execute digital commerce strategy across Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy

Instamart, Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, and D2C (GimiGimi)

- Develop channel-wise assortment, pricing, promotion, and launch strategies

- Establish repeatable playbooks for growth and new product launches

Platform Partnerships & New Account Development

- Own senior relationships with platform leadership teams

- Lead new account onboarding, geographic expansion, and strategic partnerships

- Negotiate visibility, commercial terms, and growth programs

Operating Excellence

- Build strong operating rhythms (weekly reviews, dashboards, performance tracking)

- Ensure high standards on availability, fill rates, content hygiene, service levels, and

supply coordination

- Drive continuous improvement in execution across all digital channels

Media, Promotions & ROI

- Own channel media budgets and ROI in partnership with performance marketing

- Drive disciplined experimentation and optimisation of promotions and ads

- Ensure growth is profitable and scalable

Team & Capability Building

- Build and lead the Digital Commerce team across Q-com, D2C, marketplaces, and operations

- Set clear KPIs, performance management, and development plans

- Build scalable processes and governance

Candidate Profile

- 8-14 years of experience in digital commerce, e-commerce, or Q-commerce leadership roles

- Proven track record of scaling digital revenue with P&L ownership

- Strong relationships with major platforms (Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket)

- Strong commercial acumen: revenue, margins, contribution, ROI

- Experience building teams, processes, and operating cadence

- Structured, execution-focused, and outcome-driven leadership style

- Digital channels become a significant, profitable growth engine

- Strong platform partnerships with category leadership positions

- Consistent execution metrics (availability, fill rates, visibility, content hygiene)

- Scalable operating model and high-performing team

- Clear, repeatable digital commerce playbooks across both brands
