Head - Digital & IT - Chemical

Summary :

The Head of Digital & IT will lead the technology vision and execution for a diversified life sciences and chemicals business. This role focuses on digital transformation, operational efficiency, innovation through AI/Gen AI, and ensuring seamless IT service delivery across business units.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategy & Leadership :

- Develop and implement the Digital & IT roadmap aligned with business strategy

- Identify business areas where digital technologies can enhance competitiveness and efficiency

- Evaluate and propose investments in systems, infrastructure, and applications

- Drive digital transformation, AI, and analytics initiatives to improve business outcomes

Program & Service Delivery :

- Lead cross-functional digital projects with focus on time, cost, and quality

- Ensure effective IT services and infrastructure for all business functions

- Oversee application development, operations, cybersecurity, and compliance

- Monitor vendor contracts and performance of third-party service providers

Business Engagement & Change Management:

- Act as the digital partner to business leaders, translating needs into IT priorities

- Advocate adoption of digital tools and ensure realization of business value

- Promote structured change management across business functions

Team & Performance Management:

- Build and manage a high-performing IT team

- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualification Criteria:

Qualifications & Experience:

- 20+ years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, and delivery

- Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology; MBA preferred

- Proven leadership in managing IT for large-scale manufacturing or industrial enterprises

- Deep experience in digital tools, advanced analytics, Gen AI, Industry 4.0

- Strong understanding of IT governance, security, compliance, and service management
