Head - Design & Development - Wiper Systems

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end product development from concept to production.

- Drive New Product Development (NPD), localization, value engineering and cost optimization.

- Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.

- Establish engineering standards, design reviews and technical governance.

- Lead customer technical discussions and support new business development.

- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, SCM and Sales for successful product launches.

Preferred experience & skills

- Proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and/or SolidWorks.

- Strong knowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, APQP, PPAP, DFMA and design validation.

- Good understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to automotive products, including plastics, sheet metal, machining and electromechanical assemblies.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working with Automotive OEMs such as Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Piaggio, Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial Vehicles, Force Motors, JCB, CNH, Caterpillar, or equivalent OEMs.

- Experience in customer design reviews, technical presentations, APQP/PPAP, engineering change management and product launches.

- Proven track record of building engineering teams and delivering successful product development projects.
