Head - Design & Development/Manufacturing Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead New Product Development (NPD) and Manufacturing Engineering activities from concept to production.

- Drive automation initiatives, process optimization, and cost reduction across manufacturing operations.

- Ensure timely execution of new product introduction (NPI) projects while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

- Lead the implementation and optimization of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and MES (Manufacturing Execution System).

- Ensure adherence to global quality standards and manufacturing best practices.

- Oversee Design & Development Engineering activities for new products.

- Ensure technical approval of new projects, including weld lines, tooling, fixtures, and gauges.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.

- Manage project budgets in line with organizational targets.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Strong experience in New Product Development (NPD) and Manufacturing Engineering.

- Hands-on exposure to Design & Development Engineering.

Experience with:

1. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

2. Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

3. SAP

4. Engineering and Design Software

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, weld lines, and gauges.

- Experience in automation, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.

- Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, engineering, or heavy manufacturing environments.

- Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and lean manufacturing principles.

- Ability to manage multiple NPD projects simultaneously.

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
