Position Title: HOD, Design & Development

Reporting Relationship

Reporting To: Managing Director

Responsibilities:

- Design & Development Planning.

- Review, Monitoring & control of Design & Development processes and preparing output documents.

- Improvement of Design & Development processes.

- Design calculations and review of design in new design & development.

- Implementation of all processes & system of QMS related to Design & Development.

- Design verification, validation and changes in design and development.

- Review, integration and implementation of standards in product realization processes/QMS.

- To realign continue train personal related to Design & Development department.

- Data analysis & taking corrective & preventive actions for improvement.

- Carrying out necessary activities for risk assessment, contingency planning & MOC.

Authorities:

- To decide on all matters related to Design & Development.

- To realign and continue to train any personal related to Design & Development.

- Modification in existing Design & Development processes.

- Approval of Design & Development as documented in respective Design & Development Plan.

Accountabilities:

- Smooth & efficient functioning of Design & Development of product processes & their improvement.

- Integration of standards (external documents) into quality management system.

- Impact of Design changes, Verification & Validation.

- Effective functioning of Quality Management System, training and specifications for Design & Development Department.

- GAD approvals from clients should not take more than three submissions.

- 90% on time achievement / delivery of BOM approvals specified in the planning sheet.

- 90% on time achievement of Technical Requirement Specification (TRS) approvals specified in the planning sheet.
