Position Overview:

The Head of Data Science will provide strategic and functional leadership, focusing on growing our AI capabilities and client base. This role involves leading a data science team, managing enterprise-level client relationships, and leveraging a network to drive new business opportunities. The role is less technical and more oriented towards strategic leadership and business development.

Key Responsibilities:-

Strategic Leadership & Planning:

- Develop and execute the strategic plan for data science and AI initiatives to align with company objectives.

- Define and implement strategies to integrate AI solutions into clients business processes, focusing on enhancing efficiency and decision-making.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Build, lead, and manage a high-performing data science team, ensuring alignment with functional goals and company vision.

- Recruit top talent, foster a culture of excellence, and oversee team performance and professional development.

Client Management & Business Development:

- Act as the primary liaison for enterprise-level clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored AI solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

- Leverage existing network and industry connections to identify and secure new business opportunities, expanding the client base.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive long-term business growth.

Operational Oversight:

- Oversee the functional aspects of AI project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client requirements.

- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate AI solutions into client operations and ensure successful implementation.

Market & Business Intelligence:

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging AI technologies to position the company as a leader in AI solutions.

- Utilize market insights and client feedback to refine strategies and enhance service offerings.

Qualifications:

Experience:

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in data science and AI, with a strong background in leading teams and managing enterprise-level client engagements.

- Demonstrated experience in business development, including leveraging industry networks to drive new opportunities and growth.

Education:

- Graduates from Tier 1 Institutes of India (e.g., IITs, IIMs, ISBs) with a robust academic foundation in relevant fields.

Leadership Skills:

- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on strategic planning and operational excellence.

- Strong client-facing skills, with a track record of building and maintaining high-value client relationships.

Business Acumen:

- Ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable business strategies and drive client success.

- Experience in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within the industry.

Communication Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
