
Our client, a leading global financial services organisation, is seeking a Head of Data Management at a senior Director/Managing Director level to establish and lead a world-class data-management services centre in their GCC. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for building the data domain from its initiation phase and delivering consistent, scalable and efficient data services to business lines and functions across multiple regions.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Define and implement the data shared-services operating model, aligned to regional data strategies.
- Drive standardisation, automation and efficiency across data controls, metadata, lineage, quality and reporting.
- Oversee enterprise data governance and controls across all data services and capabilities
- Ensure data processes meet global regulatory requirements (BCBS 239 and equivalent) and lead regulatory-remediation and audit-response efforts.
- Lead enterprise-wide data transformation and build, develop and retain a high-performing data team.
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- 20+ years experience in data management within financial services
- A proven track record of designing and leading data shared services at scale, ideally in a GCC / Centre-of-Excellence model
- Demonstrated delivery of data-control uplifts, regulatory remediation or enterprise data transformation
- Deep knowledge of data-management frameworks (DAMA, DCAM) and governance platforms (Collibra, Informatica)
- Proven ability to influence C-suite stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, multinational environment.
