Role: Head of Data & Analytics

Overview:

- We are seeking a highly experienced Head - Data & Analytics to lead the implementation and delivery organization for large health systems, payers, and provider groups.

- This leader will oversee a 150+ member multi-disciplinary team responsible for onboarding customers onto the company's platform and ensuring successful deployments with measurable outcomes.

- The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of healthcare delivery expertise, deep knowledge of healthcare data standards, large-scale delivery leadership, and operational and financial discipline. The role will own end-to-end implementation outcomes, including delivery quality, timelines, data readiness, customer satisfaction, and the financial performance (margins) of the delivery organization.

A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will lead and execute the enterprise data vision by aligning data strategy with business objectives, architecting scalable cloud-based data platforms, and building high-performing Data Engineering and Analytics teams.

You will ensure strong data governance, reliability, and cost efficiency, while enabling trusted self-service analytics. Working closely with executive stakeholders, you will translate strategic priorities into impactful data initiatives and support advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities that drive enterprise-wide decision-making and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Strategy & Architecture

- Define and execute the company's data engineering strategy.

- Design scalable data platforms such as data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming systems.

- Oversee cloud data infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

2. Team Leadership

- Lead and scale high-performing data engineering teams.

- Hire senior engineers and managers.

- Establish engineering standards and best practices.

3. Platform & Infrastructure

- Oversee ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.

- Manage both real-time and batch processing systems.

- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams.

- Align data architecture with business goals.

- Support AI/ML and analytics initiatives.

5. Governance & Compliance

- Implement data quality frameworks.

- Establish data governance policies.

- Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.

Requirements:

- 15-25 years of experience in healthcare delivery, health IT, population health, or payer/provider operations.

- Deep expertise in healthcare data standards such as HL7 FHIR, C-CDA, X12/EDI, Claims, and Quality Measures.

- Proven experience leading large delivery or implementation organizations (200-500+ people).

- Strong financial acumen with experience managing delivery P&L and margin performance.

- Experience implementing enterprise-scale healthcare data platforms, analytics solutions, or clinical systems.

- Ability to influence and communicate effectively with customer CXOs.

- Demonstrated operational discipline, strong problem-solving skills, and accountability mindset.

- Experience in high-growth SaaS or HealthTech environments.

- Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Strong understanding of value-based care, care management, risk adjustment, and quality programs.

- Relevant certifications in program management, technical architecture, or healthcare informatics.
