KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Service Line Strategy, Capability and Innovation

- Define and execute the D&A service-line strategy, operating plan, and multi-year capability roadmap aligned to business and technology priorities.

- Build differentiated capabilities across Cloud Data Platforms, Data Engineering, BI and Self-service Analytics, Data Governance, Data Operations, Data Quality, and AI-enabled Data Solutions, leveraging global platforms and architectures.

- Establish reusable delivery assets, playbooks, accelerators, and engineering best practices to improve speed, quality, and scalability, aligned with global architectures and standards.

- Proactively identify opportunities to expand strategic contribution of India teams, increase their impact on global D&A outcomes, and strengthen the GCC's value proposition with global stakeholders.

- Drive innovation through modern data platforms, automation, observability, metadata and lineage, and practical adoption of AI and GenAI in the data lifecycle.

2. Delivery Excellence and Operational Governance

- Own end-to-end delivery performance across the D&A portfolio, ensuring predictable execution, high quality, resilience, and stakeholder confidence.

- Establish service-line governance, delivery standards, quality controls, risk management, escalation mechanisms, and performance reviews.

- Track and improve operational metrics including delivery predictability, cycle time, throughput, defect leakage, platform reliability, incident resolution, data quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

- Lead recovery and improvement actions for critical delivery risks, quality concerns, capacity constraints, and cross-functional dependencies.

- Drive continuous improvement through automation, simplification, standardization, and lessons learned across teams and programs.

3. Talent, Organization and Culture

- Build, lead, and retain a high-performing D&A organization with clear role architecture, capability pathways, succession plans, and leadership depth.

- Own workforce planning, hiring strategy, capability mix, resource utilization, and capacity planning in line with demand and financial plans in coordination with CDAO and India GCC leader.

- Develop leaders, architects, engineers, analysts, and delivery managers through coaching, mentoring, learning programs, and meaningful career opportunities.

- Create a culture of autonomy, accountability, proactive communication, engineering discipline, customer focus, and continuous learning.

- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to strengthen talent pipelines, reduce critical skill gaps, and improve retention of high-performing employees.

4. Stakeholder Partnership and Capability Expansion

- Act as the senior India GCC interface for data, technology, and business stakeholders; build trusted relationships and ensure transparent communication.

- Translate business priorities into scalable data and analytics delivery plans, balancing strategic initiatives, platform modernization, run operations, and capability development.

- Work closely with regional leaders to define responsibilities, decision rights, governance cadences, and service expectations across the global delivery model.

- Partner closely with GDI (Group Digital & IT) and the CDAO organization to ensure alignment with global D&A priorities, standards, architecture principles, governance frameworks and operation models.

- Surface opportunities for data-driven innovation, process improvement, and improved business outcomes through analytics, data products, and AI-enabled solutions.

5. Financial, Vendor and Capacity Management

- Own the service-line operating plan, workforce pyramid, utilization, productivity, and cost-efficiency agenda.

- Manage capacity forecasts and demand plans to ensure the right skills are available at the right time, while minimizing bench, bottlenecks, and over-reliance on contractors.

- Provide leadership oversight for external partners and vendors, including capability quality, performance, cost, knowledge retention, and transition of strategic work in-house where appropriate.

- Use data-driven insights to drive performance improvements, optimize delivery economics, and make transparent trade-off decisions.

Mandatory Evaluation Parameters:

Candidates should ideally demonstrate:

- 15-20 years overall experience

- Must have managed teams of approximately 100-150 employees

- Exposure to managing distributed global teams

- Strong leadership experience in Data & Analytics practice ownership

- Business entity leaders

- Internal service-line peers (SAP, other technology practices).
