Job Descriptions:
Operational Management
1. Production Oversight
- Plan, organize, and oversee the daily production schedule to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to processing protocols for milk and milk-based products like. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, efficiency, and product quality.
2. Maintenance and Asset Management
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager for the upkeep and optimization of plant equipment and utilities.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
3. Inventory and Supply Chain
- Manage raw material and packaging material inventory levels.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Oversee finished goods dispatch to meet market demand.
4. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, FSSC 22000, and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
5. Leadership and Team Management
- Provide direction and mentorship to department managers, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics teams.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Collaborate with HR for workforce planning, skill development, and performance management.
6. Quality Assurance
- Partner with the QA/QC team to uphold product quality and food safety standards.
- Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
7. Financial Management
- Develop and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Analyze production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
8. Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Contribute to the development of operational strategies and implement them effectively.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance, challenges, and solutions to senior management.
Major Responsibilities
1. Production Efficiency: Ensure seamless production with maximum resource utilization while meeting quality standards
- Maintain or exceed production targets with >95% efficiency.
- Reduce downtime to less than 2% of total operating hours.
- Optimize yield to ensure minimal product loss (<1%).
2. Quality and Compliance: Objective: Deliver high-quality products that meet customer and regulatory expectations
- Ensure 100% compliance with FSSAI, FSSC 22000, GMP, HACCP, and other regulatory standards.
- Zero critical quality complaints or regulatory violations.
- Achieve <0.5% rejection rate for finished products.
3. Maintenance and Asset Management: Objective: Optimize plant reliability and performance through robust maintenance practices.
- Ensure 98% uptime for critical equipment.
- Complete 100% of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Implement and track energy savings initiatives with a 5% year-over-year reduction in utility costs.
4. Cost Management
- Operate within the approved budget with <5% variance.
- Achieve annual cost savings of at least 3% through efficiency improvements.
Technical Knowledge:
- Expertise in dairy equipment and process flows.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other quality frameworks.
- Familiarity with ERP and other MS Office tools.
