Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Pipeline Leadership - Build and manage a robust pipeline; meet quarterly and annual sales targets for custom research services.
2. Solution- Consulting & Proposal Design - Lead discovery calls, craft tailored scopes, pricing, and timelines that balance client objectives with internal delivery costs and data licensing considerations.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration - Partner with research delivery, product, and marketing teams to package offerings, create sample deliverables, and ensure smooth hand offs into execution.
4. Market Development - Position VCCEdge as the go to partner for private market intelligence through thought leadership webinars, conferences, and strategic media amplification.
5. Client Success & Upsell - Maintain executive relationships post sale, monitor project outcomes, and drive renewal or expansion opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
1. 10+- years of solution sales experience in capital markets, alternative investments, or data/research platforms, with proven new business wins.
2. Deep understanding of private market data sources, research methodologies, and typical cost structures for custom studies.
3. Strong commercial acumen-ability to price and negotiate complex, multi component projects and negotiate at C suite level.
4. Proven strength in consultative selling, translating insights into compelling stories and high-impact proposals
5. Collaborative mindset and the agility to work cross functionally in a fast growing digital environment.
