Opening is with one of the leading financial services conglomerate seeking a strategic and highly analytical leader to head our Credit Monitoring Vertical. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the health of our diverse lending portfolio through robust risk identification, advanced data analytics, and rigorous compliance management.

Role Overview:

The Vertical Head of Credit Monitoring is responsible for building and maintaining a world-class credit coverage system. You will oversee the identification, measurement, and mitigation of credit, operational, and market risks across both individual borrowers and the macro portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Portfolio Oversight:

- Build and benchmark internal credit monitoring policies against industry standards.

- Gather market intelligence through networking with bankers, rating agencies (CIBIL), and industry stakeholders.

- Manage overall credit quality and maintain risk awareness of macro and sectoral trends.

2. Data Analytics & Digital Transformation:

- Leverage AI, ML, and satellite imagery for real-time monitoring of under-construction projects.

- Devise risk-based data tools and "Early Warning" signal systems.

- Use statistical models to standardize lending decisions and predict potential impairments.

3. Compliance & Operational Rigor:

- Ensure 100% adherence to internal and regulatory lending guidelines.

- Monitor escrow statements, cash flow performance, and the end-use of funds.

- Oversee collateral management, including regular site visits and third-party valuations.

4. Project & Documentation Management:

- Track physical and financial progress of operational and under-construction projects.

- Maintain accurate MIS reporting for senior management and credit committees.

- Ensure high-quality Turnaround Times (TATs) for proposal validation and query resolution.

Candidate Profile:

Eligibility Criteria:

- Educational Background: Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a reputed institution.

- Experience: Proven track record in credit monitoring, risk management, or portfolio auditing within the financial services sector.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Technical: Proficiency in MIS, fraud detection systems, and data analytics.

- Analytical: Exceptional attention to detail with an investigative mindset.

- Leadership: Strong stakeholder management and the ability to conduct training sessions.

- Ethics: Unwavering integrity and high professional standards.

- Flexibility: Willingness to travel for on-ground investigations and site visits.
