Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive audit strategy for Credit Audits. This includes all key areas of the Credit Lifecycle:
- Credit origination, screening, assessment, and sanction.
- Limit and facility booking, credit operations, and disbursement.
- Post-disbursement monitoring, collections, recovery, and pre-payments/foreclosures.
- Settlements, restructuring, and credit administration.
- Early warning monitoring.
- Related legal and regulatory compliance and reporting (e.g., asset classification, provisioning, income recognition).
- Covering all lines of businesses, customer segments, products, and channels.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and controls, and ensure strict adherence to internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments to facilitate audit processes and ensure recommendations are effectively implemented.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of credit audit professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Desired Profile:
- Education: Post Graduate (CA Preferred).
- Experience: 15+ years of extensive experience in managing Credit Audits for Banks / NBFCs.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of the entire credit lifecycle and related regulatory frameworks.
- Leadership: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic audit plans and lead a team.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with all levels of management and external parties.
