Description:
- Prepare, develop, and maintain comprehensive project cost plans from conceptualization through project completion.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of committed costs, actual expenditures, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Conduct monthly Earned Value Analysis (EVA) including:
- Cost Performance Index (CPI)
- Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
- To Complete Performance Index (TCPI)
- Cost and schedule variance reporting
- Independently prepare and present cost reports to senior leadership, including trend analysis, cost performance metrics, and project cash flow forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to periodically assess and validate cost-to-complete projections.
- Benchmark project costs against industry standards, historical project data, and market trends to drive cost optimization.
- Review variation orders/change orders, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to minimize recurrence across projects.
- Develop, update, and maintain a centralized rate library and cost database covering all construction disciplines.
- Identify project cost risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure budget adherence.
- Support procurement and commercial teams with cost analysis, vendor benchmarking, and financial evaluations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project cost management processes and reporting systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational financial controls, project governance standards, and reporting requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Construction Management / Quantity Surveying / Finance or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost engineering, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in large-scale construction, infrastructure, hospitality, real estate, or industrial projects.
- Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and cost control tools such as ERP systems, MS Excel, Primavera, SAP, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
