About the Company & Role:
PSS has been mandated by our client, an American venture studio and venture accelerator with a successful track record of enabling health tech start-ups build businesses serving top hospital networks in the US health services ecosystem through a US$ 250 million fund. The company is in talks with several top Indian healthcare networks to do the same in India. It is looking for a candidate based in Bangalore to help them fundraise their first funds in India will all investor types (LPs, family offices, corporate investors, HNI investors)
Key Responsibilities:
- The candidate will take ownership of the fundraising initiatives for the India expansion, targeting institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices with a passion for healthcare innovation.
- The candidate must develop and execute a comprehensive capital formation strategy that aligns with the investment thesis and ambitious growth plans for the region.
- They should build and nurture deep, long-term relationships with a diverse range of capital partners (LPs), healthcare providers, government agencies, and corporate partners across India.
- They should serve as a market expert, staying ahead of local investment trends, healthcare regulations, and competitive movements to inform our strategy.
- Source and evaluate strategic investment opportunities that support Redesign Health's mission to innovate and scale new healthcare ventures in India.
- Partner with internal teams and founders to ideate, launch, and scale new healthcare companies that solve critical industry challenges.
Prior Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years of experience and proven track record of success in fundraising and fund deployment in venture capital, private equity or investment banking domains.
- A genuine and profound interest in healthcare innovation, with a strong understanding of the sector's unique dynamics and challenges in India. Prior experience as an operator, investor, consultant, or clinical professional in healthcare is a significant plus.
- An established, robust network within India's investment and financial ecosystem, particularly institutional investors and key family offices with a demonstrated interest in the healthcare sector.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and unstructured environment, with a self-starter mindset and the resilience required to build something from the ground up.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to craft and articulate a compelling investment thesis to investors.
