Head Corporate Accounts, Taxation & Accounts Payable

Overseeing financial reporting, ensuring tax compliance, and developing strategic financial and tax plans. Key responsibilities involve managing the accounting team, preparing financial statements, handling tax filings and audits, and advising senior management on financial and tax implications.

Key responsibilities:

Financial oversight:

- Oversee all financial operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Manage the preparation of key financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.

- Monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure data accuracy.

Tax management:

- Develop and execute tax strategies to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.

- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns and payments.

- Manage all tax audits and assessments and act as the primary contact with tax authorities.

- Identify opportunities for tax planning and savings.

- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise senior management on their impact.

Strategic and advisory functions:

- Serve as a key financial advisor to senior management.

- Liaise with external auditors and other financial professionals.

- Assist with financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions.

- Monitor cash flow and liquidity to maintain a strong financial position.

Accounts Payable:

- Manage the entire accounts payable process, including vendor management, invoice processing, and timely payment execution. Ensure efficient workflows and negotiate favorable payment terms.

Internal Controls & Audit:

- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures. Lead internal audits and ensure the accuracy of financial information.

Staff Leadership:

- Manage, mentor, and train the accounting team, assigning daily tasks and ensuring team performance and development.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. CA with 7 Plus years of experience in corporate accounting and taxation within a Manufacturing Industry and with a proven track record in a leadership role.

2. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems like SAP is essential.

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws.

4. Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial management tools is also needed.

5. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills are critical.

6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are necessary for working with vendors and internal teams.

7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
