JOB DESCRIPTION Role Title: Head - Content Department : Marketing Sub Department : Group Corporate Communication Reports To : Group Corporate Communication Head JOB PURPOSE : We are looking for a senior level Content strategist with excellent leadership and collaboration skills, one who can articulate Group-led priorities across media platforms. The applicant will have extensive experience in research, conceptualization, creation and execution of content-related activities, and have a passion for leveraging industry trends on behalf of the brand and digital storytelling. Corporate Communication : - Proactively ideate and plan a cross-platform content strategy to achieve the organisation's desired objectives - Give attention to detail and think big picture to lead a team of content writers - Provide strategic counsel for all content related initiatives - Manage and own content calenders and projects, including commissioning, briefing, editing and execution - Use long-format pieces to translate industry and company data into compelling story ideas - Seamlessly shift between ideating for campaigns and working on long format white papers, research and blogs - Come up with creative concepts and work with the design team to bring concepts to life, oversee content for social media, tag lines, blogs, campaigns, video scripts, storyboards etc. - Actively research industry and policy trends and use these to craft interesting content - Conceptualise creative campaigns, write, edit, storyboard content - Develop high-quality thought leadership content - Assume the project management role for assigned tasks to ensure tracking and reporting of progress toward milestones and on-time delivery - Contribute to best practices in terms of processes and idea generation for continuous improvement of in-house content production activities as well as external partner ecosystem Internal and external stakeholder management : - Drive all corporate communication activities related to earnings: work with the media relations teams for earnings releases and statutory ads, half yearly reports - Work across teams in the organization for bringing out the company's annual report - Manage the investor relations section on the company website MAJOR CHALLENGES (Challenges faced on an on-going basis in carrying out the job) : - Ensure fast turnaround time with copy requirements without compromising on quality and execution - Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally for large projects - Work with different teams for leadership content, imageries, events etc., DECISIONS (Key decisions taken by job holder at his/her end) : - Content quality and scoring - Aligning the team with the desired requirements of the organization INTERACTIONS (Key working relationships a job holder needs to have INSIDE and OUTSIDE the company to accomplish the job) : Internal Clients : - Roles you need to interact with inside the organization to enable success in your day to day work - Media Relations teams across the organisation - IR & Company Secretary's team - Design Team - Legal Team - Senior leadership - CSR team External Clients : Roles you need to interact with outside the organization to enable success in your day to day work - Design agencies - Journalists - Influencers - Vendors / Partners for specific projects - Freelancers DIMENSIONS (Key numerical data which will reflect the scope and scale of activities concerning this job): Financial Dimensions (These should be quantifiable numerical amounts): - NA (For quarterly financial, annual reporting budget and designing budget for the results and corporate communication deliveries) Other Dimensions (Significant volume dimensions associated with the job): Total Team Size: 4 Number of Direct Reports: 4 Number of Indirect Reports: NA Number of Outsourced employees: NA Number of locations: NA Number of products: NA SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : - Graduate with Masters in Journalism or Mass Communications - Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a journalism and/or communications - Fearless command over English and creative writing skills - Proven senior stakeholder exposure/management, including strong and clear communication and presentation skills to leadership level audiences (able to clearly articulate complex dependencies, solutions, and communications strategies) - Strong understanding of business, media and regulatory environment - Proactive and resourceful attitude, independently taking initiative to collaborate across teams - Cross-functional experience - working with specialists across secretarial, finance, technology, learning and development, HR, business and marketing teams - Analytical bent of mind with keen interest in trending topics, news, policies, economic, development, growth trajectory etc., be it in domestic sector or international space. - Go-getter with ability to absorb new ideas, complex constructs and can independently generate original and insightful stories - Leadership mindset and can operate with speed, agility and minimal supervision to produce quality materials in a clear and concise manner
