Position - CFS Head
Location - Chennai, Minjur
CTC - 50 LPA
A CFS (Container Freight Station) Head is responsible for running the entire CFS business like a CEO of the location. The person ensures smooth operations, profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance with Customs and Port authorities, and achievement of business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall CFS business operations and achieve revenue and profit targets.
- Prepare and execute business plans, budgets, and growth strategies.
- Control costs, resources, and capital investments (CAPEX).
- Handle commercial activities such as pricing, contract negotiations, and customer management.
- Build and maintain relationships with Customs, Port authorities, Shipping Lines, Railways, and service providers.
- Ensure efficient yard, warehouse, labour, and equipment management.
- Drive process automation, digitalization, and technology improvements.
- Approve procurement, bills, and payments, and maintain financial discipline.
- Lead teams and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- 40% Operations: Managing CFS activities, yard, labour, equipment, compliance, and service delivery.
- 35% P&L & Commercials: Budgeting, profitability, pricing, cost control, contract negotiations, and financial performance.
- 15% Business Development & Customer Management: Managing shipping lines, customers, and stakeholder relationships.
- 10% Strategy & Leadership: Business planning, automation initiatives, investments, and organizational development.
- Strong CFS/ICD/Port operations experience
- Proven P&L management and commercial understanding
- Experience in pricing, budgeting, and cost optimization
- Strong relationships with Customs, Ports, Shipping Lines, and Railways
- Leadership experience in managing large teams and stakeholders
- Exposure to digital transformation and process automation
