Job Title: Head - Consumer Insights & Research
Location: Bangalore

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head Consumer Insights & Research to lead the Consumer & Market Intelligence (CMI) function. The role will drive consumer-led decision making across the organization by integrating consumer research, market intelligence, and multi-source data into actionable insights that support business growth, innovation, and brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Consumer & Market Intelligence Leadership:
- Act as the central owner of consumer, category, and market insights across the organization
- Translate business challenges into structured research and insight frameworks
- Deliver actionable insights on consumer behavior, attitudes, and purchase drivers
Research & Analytics:
- Lead end-to-end quantitative and qualitative research programs
- Drive post-launch, post-campaign, and initiative evaluations
- Ensure methodological rigor and decision-ready outputs
Data Integration & Insight Synthesis:
- Integrate insights from syndicated data, retail audits, e-commerce platforms, and internal performance metrics
- Establish a structured insight cadence (monthly, quarterly, annual reviews)
- Present clear implications and recommended actions to leadership
Business & Strategic Support:
- Support annual planning, innovation roadmaps, and long-term strategy through consumer-led insights
- Identify growth opportunities and potential risks
- Influence senior stakeholders through structured storytelling and data-backed recommendations
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, R&D, and Strategy teams
- Embed a consumer-first mindset across innovation and go-to-market planning
Team & Capability Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing Consumer Insights team
- Manage research agencies and budgets
- Develop knowledge repositories and best-practice frameworks
Desired Profile:
- 8+ years of experience in Consumer Insights, Market Research, or related domains
- Experience in consumer-facing industries (FMCG / Consumer Durables / Retail preferred)
- Strong expertise in quantitative & qualitative research methodologies
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business insights
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior leadership
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and storytelling skills
- Experience in team leadership and stakeholder management
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
