Head - Compliance - NBFC

Qualifications:

- CS + LLB mandatory.

- Industry: NBFC / Housing Finance only.

- 15+ years of relevant professional experience.

- Mandatory experience in NBFC and/or Housing Finance industry.

- Strong understanding of RBI/NHB regulations and financial-sector compliance.

- Proven leadership experience in managing compliance functions.

- Strong Board-level communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.

- High level of integrity, analytical ability, and regulatory acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the overall compliance function for the organisation.

- Develop, implement, and continuously strengthen the enterprise-wide compliance framework.

- Ensure compliance with applicable RBI, NHB, Companies Act, SEBI and other regulatory requirements, as applicable.

- Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable internal policies and processes.

- Oversee regulatory reporting, compliance calendars, and statutory filings.

- Establish effective compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting mechanisms.

- Advise senior management and the Board on regulatory and compliance matters.

- Manage compliance audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.

- Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Operations, Finance, and other business functions.

- Identify compliance risks and drive appropriate corrective and preventive actions.

- Develop and maintain policies, SOPs, compliance manuals, and governance frameworks.

- Handle regulatory correspondence and ensure timely closure of observations.

- Provide strategic guidance on legal and regulatory matters impacting business operations.
