JOB DESCRIPTION:- - Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills. - Ensuring proper guidance to business units on regulatory matters and interpretation of guidelines issued by various regulators. - Providing direction and assist business partners regarding Compliance activities, laws and regulations. - Ensure that business activities are aligned to Company compliance program and local regulations in local market - Prompt Action on compliance issues within the market in a manner consistent with all local directives, circulars, and communications. - Supporting the Market Compliance Office in achieving the Market Goals within the defined time line, in closing out the identified Gaps and resolving outstanding compliance issues. - Drafting & Reviewing corporate governance documents (e.g. policies, charters, procedures, etc.) for best Practices, risk management and internal controls aspects. - Identifying and maintaining an inventory of applicable laws, regulation, rules and standards to, advising Management on them and informing Management of any related developments. - Preparation of Compliance Policy (i.e. Compliance Manual) & Checklist. Maintain the checklist periodically. - Monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines by performing regular and comprehensive compliance testing and reporting the results on a regular basis (and promptly, where deemed necessary) to Management. - Define, implement and govern diligent compliance and Internal control policies - Evaluate exposure to compliance risk thorough monitoring and reformulate risk mitigation policies. - Support to the lines of businesses through participation in new product/service projects Computer knowledge: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Must be self-motivated, adaptable and detail oriented with a proven ability to work independently or within a team environment. Job/Industry Knowledge - Good knowledge of AML Laws and practices - Banking Regulations Act. - Prevention of Money Laundering Act - other laws applicable to Commercial Banks and Payment Operators Qualification - Preferably CA/CS/LLB
