Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Head to lead our regulatory framework and governance strategy in Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary custodian of our ethical and legal standards, ensuring that our business operations remain seamlessly aligned with evolving financial regulations. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and external regulatory bodies to foster a culture of integrity. By proactively identifying risks and implementing robust AML protocols, you will directly safeguard the firms reputation and ensure sustainable growth in a complex, high-stakes financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement comprehensive compliance programs to ensure the organization adheres to all statutory requirements and internal policies.

- Lead the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) frameworks to mitigate financial crime risks and protect the firm from illicit activities.

- Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and external auditors to ensure transparent reporting and timely resolution of compliance inquiries.

- Oversee corporate governance initiatives to provide the Board with actionable insights regarding risk exposure and regulatory shifts.

- Mentor and lead the compliance team, fostering a high-performance environment that prioritizes accuracy, ethical decision-making, and operational excellence.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, specifically within the financial services sector, with a deep understanding of AML, KYC, and governance frameworks.

- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate intricate regulatory requirements in a clear, strategic manner.

- Exceptional analytical skills to interpret legislative changes and translate them into practical, business-friendly operational policies.

- Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of building and managing high-functioning teams in a fast-paced environment.

- Professional qualifications such as a degree in Law, Finance, or a related field, complemented by relevant industry certifications.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment based in Mumbai, maintaining high levels of productivity and cross-functional collaboration.

- Possession of 6 to 15 years of progressive experience in compliance and risk management roles within the financial industry.
