We are currently hiring Head-Compensation & Benefits(Comp & Ben) for a leading manufacturing firm.

Location: Chennai

Function/Department: HR - CoE

Reports to: Group CoE Head

Job Purpose:

Responsible for defining and implementing the organization's total rewards, HR technology, and people analytics strategy. The role ensures that compensation, benefits, and executive pay programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned to business needs while supporting retention of critical talent. The role digitizes and automates HR processes to enhance accuracy, scalability, and efficiency. The role also drives advanced people analytics, MIS, and reporting, providing leaders with actionable insights. Additionally, it strengthens employee experience and engagement through well-being initiatives and data-led interventions that shape a compelling employee value proposition.

Main Accountabilities:

Total Rewards Strategy

- Develop and implement total rewards strategy covering variable pay, incentives, benefits, and executive compensation to attract, retain, and motivate talent.

- Design and deliver retention-linked pay programs to address critical skill gaps and high attrition roles.

Employee Well-being

- Introduce and manage well-being initiatives that enhance holistic employee health and engagement.

- Align wellness programs with business needs to improve satisfaction, productivity, and retention.

HR Technology

- Lead HR technology roadmap to digitize HR processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance employee experience.

- Ensure system integration and scalability across businesses for seamless process execution.

People Analytics

- Deploy people analytics to generate workforce insights for decision-making on productivity, retention, & engagement.

- Establish governance on analytics use to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency.

- Standardize reporting metrics and dashboards to enable comparability across businesses.

Process Automation

- Implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventions in HR service delivery.

- Continuously identify opportunities for digitization to scale HR operations cost-effectively.

Employee Experience & Engagement

- Leverage engagement analytics to identify key drivers of employee satisfaction and retention.

- Design and deploy recognition and engagement programs that integrate rewards, well-being, and employee feedback, enhancing the employee value proposition.

Requirements & Skills:

Minimum Degree:

- MBA/PGDM in HR (FULL TIME) or Business (specialization in C&B/HR Tech preferred).

Minimum Years / type of experience:

- 10+ years in HR with deep expertise in rewards strategy, HR technology, and people analytics.

Area-specific knowledge:

- Proven expertise in compensation and benefits design including executive pay, incentives, and retention-linked programs.

- Strong knowledge of HR technology platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle).

- Experience in people analytics tools, workforce dashboards, and predictive analytics.

- Ability to manage MIS, governance, and reporting at enterprise scale.

- Familiarity with well-being, recognition, and engagement analytics to shape employee experience.
