Head - Commodity Procurement - Cattle Feed Firm

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end procurement of grains for manufacturing operations

- Analyze commodity markets to determine the right time to purchase, leveraging seasonal trends, price forecasts, and supply dynamics

- Define optimal purchase quantities based on production schedules, inventory levels, and cost efficiency.

- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to maximize savings-with a proven track record of saving - 15+ Crores in previous roles

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, traders, and aggregators to ensure consistent quality and supply.

- Monitor and manage risks related to price volatility, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes.

- Collaborate with finance, production, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.

- Implement digital tools and dashboards for real-time tracking of commodity prices, purchase decisions, and savings metrics.

Candidate Profile:

- 18-25 years of experience in commodity procurement, with a focus on grains.

- Proven success in high-value purchasing and cost-saving initiatives.

- Strong understanding of market dynamics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.

- Experience in Cattle Feed industry is mandatory.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to work from a factory/manufacturing location and lead cross-functional teams.
