Head - Commodity Buying

Role: Head Commodity Buying (Raw Material Buying for a Mining and Metal Company)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Aligning procurement strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans, thereby ensuring uninterrupted plant operations, maximum value creation and cost efficiency.

- Ensure 100% adherence to cardinal sourcing principles with zero tolerance for governance or compliance deviations.

- Develop comprehensive business plans and track performance rigorously on a monthly basis.

- Drive cost reduction initiatives through peer benchmarking, adoption of global best practices, optimizing GWC, reducing logistics costs, controlling leakages, and strengthening quality controls.

- Guarantee timely, cost-effective delivery of raw materials with uncompromising focus on quality standards.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks.

- Deploy advanced digital tools and technologies to ensure transparency, traceability, and improved operational performance.

- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to foster long-term collaboration and trust.

- Champion innovation and embed a culture of continuous improvement across all commercial and procurement activities
