Position: Head of Commercial
Reporting to: Managing Director / Director
Role:
We are looking for an experienced Head of Commercial to manage the company's overall commercial operations, with particular focus on sales, customer interaction, costing, procurement, import/export, banking and commercial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer orders, pricing, costing and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and clients.
- Negotiate with suppliers on price, payment terms and delivery conditions.
- Manage import/export activities, including LC, customs, C&F and shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance, Production, Stores and Sales/Merchandising teams.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, banks and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with applicable commercial and import/export regulations.
- Prepare regular commercial MIS and reports for management.
Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA / Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in commercial functions, preferably in a manufacturing/export-oriented company.
- Experience in garment accessories, buttons, textile accessories or similar industry will be preferred, but is not essential.
- Strong costing, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Good command of English and sufficient Bengali communication skills.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Candidates from the Kolkata region will be preferred.
