Head - Collections

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and optimize the collections strategy for our lending portfolio. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and deliver strong recovery performance while maintaining customer experience standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement end-to-end collections strategy for retail and SME lending portfolios.

- Monitor portfolio health and design risk mitigation frameworks.

- Lead and manage collections teams across regions, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance norms.

- Collaborate with credit, risk, and operations teams to improve recovery rates and reduce delinquencies.

- Leverage technology and analytics to enhance efficiency and predict portfolio trends.

- Manage external agencies and legal partners for recovery processes.

- Report key metrics to senior leadership and recommend strategic interventions.

Desired Profile:

- 12+ years of experience in collections within financial services, NBFC, or fintech.

- Strong understanding of unsecured and secured lending products.

- Proven track record in managing large teams and complex portfolios.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and legal recovery processes.
