Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage end-to-end Trade Settlement & Clearing activities across asset classes (equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.).

- Ensure timely settlement of trades while maintaining zero failure targets and high operational accuracy.

- Oversee Reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash with custodians, clearing corporations, and internal systems.

- Liaise with Clearing Corporations (e.g., NSCCL, ICCL), Depositories (NSDL, CDSL), and other market infrastructure institutions.

- Implement and monitor Risk Management controls including margin monitoring, exposure tracking, and counterparty risk.

- Lead Regulatory Reporting & Compliance in alignment with SEBI, exchanges, and internal audit standards.

- Drive Process Automation, System Integration, and continuous Operational Improvement to enhance scalability and efficiency.

- Collaborate with technology and product teams to implement tools that support clearing workflows.

- Manage and mentor a team of clearing professionals to ensure capability development and high performance.


Qualifications & Skills:


- Graduate/Post-Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field; professional certifications (e.g., NISM, CFA, FRM) are a plus.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in Clearing & Settlement Operations, with at least 35 years in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of Indian capital market regulations, clearing cycles, and industry platforms.

- Expertise in systems like CDSL, NSDL, SWIFT, BSE/ICCL, NSE/NSCCL, and broker back-office platforms.

- Proven experience in people management, stakeholder communication, and change leadership.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess operational risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
