Head - Chief Human Resources Officer

We are looking for a senior HR leader to head the entire Human Resources function for a large steel manufacturing organization with ongoing and upcoming plant expansions.
The role is strategic and operational, responsible for building scalable HR systems, managing large industrial workforces, and driving cultural and transformationThis is a position based in Africa in the Ethiopian - Adis Ababa (Adis Ababa is home to thousands of Indian Professionals)Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR function including HR Strategy, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Policies, Administration and Compliance- Design and execute HR strategy aligned with greenfield plant setup, capacity expansion, and long-term growth plans- Drive culture transformation and change management initiatives, especially in manufacturing and shop-floor environments- Partner with leadership to build a high-performance and accountability-driven culture
- Establish robust HR policies, SOPs, performance management, reward and retention frameworks
- Implement HR systems / HRIS and use people analytics to support decision-making
- Act as a strategic advisor to CEO and leadership team on people, succession and organizational effectiveness
Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience with 5+ years in a Head HR / CHRO / HR Director role- Strong experience in manufacturing domain- Demonstrated experience in culture change, change management and safety-led transformations
- Ability to work in fast-growing, complex, multi-location industrial environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
- Some international experience preferred but not compulsory
- Education: MBA / Master's in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related discipline
