Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and highly accomplished Head - CBG Business to lead, scale, and drive the growth of our Compressed Bio Gas business across India. The role will be responsible for the overall business strategy, expansion of multiple CBG plants, operational excellence, profitability, and full P&L ownership.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the CBG / Bio Gas industry, managing multiple plants across India and successfully building and scaling a profitable business.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Strategy & Growth:

- Develop and execute the overall growth strategy for the CBG business.

- Identify new business opportunities, markets, partnerships, and expansion opportunities across India.

- Drive business scaling through new CBG plant development, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic alliances.

- Develop short-term and long-term business plans to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.

P&L Management:

- Take complete ownership of the Profit & Loss (P&L) for the CBG business.

- Drive revenue growth, profitability, EBITDA improvement, and cost optimization.

- Establish financial targets, budgets, and performance metrics for the business.

- Ensure efficient utilization of capital and resources to maximize returns.

Multi-Plant Operations:

- Oversee the performance and operations of multiple CBG plants across India.

- Drive operational efficiency, production optimization, quality, safety, and reliability across all locations.

- Develop standardized operating processes and best practices across plants.

- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and profitability.

Business Expansion & Scaling:

- Lead the expansion of the CBG business across strategic locations in India.

- Identify opportunities for increasing feedstock availability and strengthening the supply chain.

- Develop strategies for increasing CBG production capacity and market penetration.

- Drive innovation and implementation of new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team across business and plant operations.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders, investors, government authorities, technology partners, and strategic partners.

- Develop strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders.

- Represent the organization at industry forums and strategic business discussions.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- MBA / Engineering / Master's degree from a reputed institution will be preferred.

- 15+ years of overall experience, with significant leadership experience in the CBG / Biogas / Bioenergy industry.

- Proven experience in managing multiple CBG or Biogas plants across India.

- Strong track record of successfully scaling and expanding a profitable business.

- Extensive experience with P&L management and business profitability.

- Strong understanding of CBG plant operations, feedstock management, production, supply chain, and commercialization.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute high-growth business strategies.

- Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, financial management, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong academic background with an excellent academic record.
