Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join as the Head of Category Management. In this role, the incumbent will own and drive the category P&L, leading end-to-end management across sales, margins, pricing, discounting, and overall profitability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in category growth strategy, cross-functional leadership, and scaling high-growth businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

- Category Ownership: Take full ownership of the assigned category, including strategy, execution, and performance metrics.

- P&L Responsibility: Drive top-line growth and improve bottom-line profitability for the category.

- Category Strategy: Develop and implement the long-term strategy for the category aligned with company objectives.

- Business Growth Roadmap: Define and execute a robust growth roadmap to scale the category, including new product launches, market expansion, and channel optimization.

- Sales & Margin Management: Optimize pricing, discounting strategies, and promotions to ensure healthy margins and sustainable growth.

- GTM & Demand Generation: Build go-to-market strategies in collaboration with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams.

- Consumer Insights: Leverage market trends and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and improve offerings.

- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, R&D, supply chain, and tech teams to deliver business outcomes.

- Stakeholder Management: Manage key internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and executive leadership.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and regularly review category performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 10+ years of experience in Category Management, Sales Leadership, or Business Growth, preferably in the e-commerce space.

- Proven track record of P&L ownership and scaling high-growth categories.

- Strong business acumen with deep understanding of pricing, margin optimization, and customer behavior.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience with GTM strategy, consumer insights, and demand generation.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.

- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution ability.

Preferred Attributes:

- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Leadership experience managing large teams or business units.

- Prior experience in scaling new business lines or categories from scratch is a plus.
