HIRING | CATEGORY & DESIGN HEAD

Role Overview:
Looking for a senior design leader to own the Residential Interiors category end-to-end - from client brief, design & material selection to costing, client approval and design handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall design direction & category design language
- Own projects from Brief - Design - Costing - Client Approval - Handover
- Manage project-level costing, BOQs, materials & estimates
- Balance design aspirations with budget, profitability & commercial viability
- Lead senior-level client interactions, presentations & negotiations
- Drive material, finish, furniture & hardware selection
- Build relationships with brands, manufacturers, vendors & designers
- Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production & Execution teams
- Review technical/engineering drawings and ensure execution feasibility
- Own category-level revenue, conversion, project value & gross margin targets
- Build scalable design processes without compromising quality
Must Have:
- 10+ years in Residential Interiors / Architecture / Furniture / Luxury Interiors
- Strong premium residential portfolio
- Experience handling projects up to 50L+
- Strong costing, BOQ & commercial understanding
- Excellent client-facing & presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture & manufacturing
- Good understanding of engineering/execution drawings
- Strong ownership & entrepreneurial mindset
Preferred:
- Premium/Luxury residential experience
- Experience managing design teams
- Former Entrepreneur / Business Owner
- Experience owning revenue, P&L or profitability targets
- Strong vendor & manufacturing network
- International design/material exposure & global connects
- B. Arch / Interior Design / Architecture or equivalent
- Education from reputed Indian/international design institutions
