Job Title: Head of Capital Market Back Office (CMB)

Location: Mumbai, India

Experience: 15+ years overall | 10+ years in management

Qualification: Post-Graduate (IIM alumni preferred)

About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned leader to head the Capital Market Back Office (CMB) team in Mumbai. This is a high-responsibility role managing end-to-end transaction processing, settlement, and operational risk for multiple geographies (APAC, EMEA, US). You will report directly to the Head of CMO Platform and drive automation, transformation, and zero-error operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead daily processing & settlement of FX, Money Market, Commercial Paper, Certificate of Deposit, and Islamic Banking transactions

- Drive operational risk prevention and zero-error culture

- Lead automation, process re-engineering, and transformation initiatives

- Manage client static data, SSI creation, and trade confirmations

- Oversee CLS, out-of-hours processing, and margin call settlements

- Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, Legal, Compliance, IT, and Accounting

- Own recruitment, team development, goal setting, and human capital actions

- Coordinate with regional back offices globally

- Lead change management and global/local projects

Key Requirements:

Must-Have:

- Post-Graduate degree (MBA from IIM or equivalent)

- 15+ years in Capital Markets Operations (FX, MM, Bonds, Fixed Income)

- 10+ years in team management

- Strong knowledge of FX/MM processing, CLS, SSI operations

- Familiar with full trade lifecycle and settlement systems

- Experience in Transformation in Operations (automation, process redesign)

Good-to-Have:

- Islamic Banking products knowledge

- SWIFT and related operations expertise

- Experience with Calypso, Summit, Kondor, GTSS, CLS GUI
