Description:
Strategic Planning:
- Negotiation on cost and margins.
- Contribute to future development at strategic and operational level.
- Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate key responsibilities and practices to the buying team to ensure smooth flow of purchasing operation.
- Drive category strategy and growth: Develop and implement buying strategies that align with business objectives, customer preferences, and market trends to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance: Uphold strict adherence to customs regulations, duty-free policies, and brand guidelines, mitigating operational and reputational risks.
Operations:
- Optimizing revenue generation from space selling.
- Exclusive and first to launch products within the region.
- Deliver the stock level requirements to achieve as a minimum and deliver the AOP targets.
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing purchasing operational policies and procedures manual.
- Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate a purchasing plan, cost control, audit compliance and people management.
- Manage the buying order process.
Merchandise:
- Review merchandise activities, determining additional sales promotion, proposing stock clearance, and analyzing trends.
- Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotions, display plans, analyzing, operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
- Ensuring range and stock levels are consistent with business requirements.
Financial:
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing the departments sales budgets, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
