Description:

We are looking for a visionary leader who can combine strong visual sense with analytical thinking to interpret consumer behavior, analyze data effectively, and make informed, risk-adjusted decisions. The role involves shaping sourcing strategies - whether in-house development or curated brand partnerships - to bring the latest trends to market and build meaningful assortment for every occasion in a childs life.

As part of a fast-paced, high-growth organization, you will collaborate with experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. You will be expected to think strategically, execute hands-on, innovate continuously, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Growth Ownership

- Drive revenue growth by increasing customer share of wallet and acquiring new customers

- Deeply understand consumer needs and build strong, relevant category assortments

- Identify and close assortment gaps quickly to enable step-change growth each quarter

- Strengthen category depth and breadth to enhance overall customer value proposition

2. Profitability & Assortment Strategy

- Own assortment planning across categories to ensure optimal mix of width, depth, and pricing

- Manage sourcing strategy across create and curate models to maximize profitability

- Build long-term sustainable growth for the storefront through the right product and price architecture

3. Merchandise Excellence

- Conduct qualitative and quantitative consumer research to understand target customer behavior

- Define differentiated product standards that improve customer engagement and loyalty

- Continuously refine assortment strategy based on market trends and performance insights

Skills & Experience Required:

Assortment Building Expertise: 14+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or product management in fast-paced environments; e-commerce exposure is a plus

Supply Chain Understanding: Strong knowledge of end-to-end apparel/product lifecycle - from fabric, design, and production to costing and sell-through management

Vendor Management: Proven ability to build, manage, and grow strong, collaborative vendor and factory partnerships

Leadership: Experience leading and developing teams of 1520 buyers; strong mentoring and talent development skills

Execution Focus: Highly action-oriented with the ability to multitask, simplify complexity, and drive outcomes

Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative mindset with the ability to blend data insights with intuition and market understanding

Agility & Ownership: Comfortable in fast-moving environments with a hands-on approach and strong bias for execution

Growth Mindset: Continuous learner with a strong desire to challenge assumptions and improve outcomes

Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate across functions including revenue, marketing, operations, and leadership teams
