Role Summary:
- We are looking for a Buyer & Merchandiser who can manage both product selection and inventory planning. This role is responsible for choosing the right products, ensuring the right stock levels, and driving overall category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Buying:
- Plan and build seasonal product assortment
- Identify vendors, negotiate pricing, margins, and timelines
- Finalise SKU mix and quantities based on trends and customer preferences
- Track competition and understand category performance
- Ensure timely product development, sampling, and deliveries
2. Merchandising:
- Prepare sales, inventory, and OTB plans
- Manage stock allocation to stores and online channels
- Track weekly sales, sell-through, and stock ageing
- Handle replenishment and avoid stock-outs/overstock
- Support pricing, promotions, and markdown planning
3. Coordination:
- Work with VM, Marketing, and Operations for product launches
- Align with Finance on margins, budgets, and targets
- Share regular performance reports with leadership
Skills & Requirements:
- Good understanding of retail buying & merchandising basics
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel
- Strong negotiation and communication skill
