Position Description: Head Business Finance (PC & MVR) LOCATION Bangalore, India
Role Overview:
Clicktech seeks Head of Business Finance (PC & MVR) to lead the Business Finance team. This position will be a critical business partner and will co-own the P&L for one or more of our large product categories. This includes, among other things, responsibility for financial metrics, reporting, forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical and have demonstrated ability to manage finance effectively & independently for a high growth business including:
- Partnering with business team(s) for strategic decision making, planning future initiatives and growth planning. Identifying risk / opportunities and recommendations on how to manage from a financial and commercials standpoint
- Lead financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses and financial modeling. Presenting data backed recommendations to category leadership for strategic decision making.
- Work closely with the business team to drive critical business goals like vendor terms improvement (margins/credit), operational costs and contribute to Free Cash flows.
- Provide controllership guidance and support to the business and build processes that augments transparency and improves controls
- Facilitate and own financial reviews (MFR) with business group and work with category leader to ensure effective finance and cost management.
- Lead financial reporting and analysis, forecasting product lines using the key input levers to the business pricing, selection, and convenience.
- Evaluate high impact deals and ensure they meet financial and business markers.
- Drive weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews (WBR, MBRs, QBRs) with data analysis and follow through with business team on actionable items for improving business metrics over a period.
- Work with accounting team to drive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial book closure process for the category.
- Partner business team in working-capital (WC) management by optimising for inventory positions and efficient CCOGs recovery mechanism
- Coach/mentor new joiners and colleagues. Influence business, finance stakeholders and enable effective and timely decision making by recommending appropriate best practices
The candidate should be a CA or an MBA (Finance) with min. 15 to 20 years of relevant working experience post qualification in a relevant role and company. Candidate should possess ability to strategize and drive Finance goals, with strong ownership, and passion for achieving results, ability to dive deep and gather insights from the numbers. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) and should have demonstrated track record to influence without authority and earning trust with stakeholders, team members. Prior exposure in allied industry sectors such as e-commerce, retail, FMCG, Consumer durables etc. could be a plus.
