We are looking for a high-impact and business-first, Head of Business Finance to partner closely with leadership and drive financial performance across our fast-growing D2C ecosystem. This role is at the intersection of finance, strategy, and business execution, owning the P&L across key online and B2B channels, driving profitability, optimizing commercial levers, and building strong financial discipline across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine sharp financial acumen with a strong business mindset, enabling better decision-making, unlocking growth opportunities, and building scalable processes in a high-growth environment.
What you'll be called: Head - Business Finance

What You'll Do:
Channel & Marketplace P&L Leadership:
- Own and drive the end-to-end P&L for key e-commerce marketplaces, including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Nykaa, and Myntra.
- Act as the financial partner for Online channels, ensuring strong control over margins, spends, and overall business performance.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve profitability, margins, and capital efficiency across channels.
Pricing, Trade & Commercial Strategy:
>- Partner with business teams to design and refine pricing, discounting, and promotional strategies.
- Drive optimization of commission structures, trade spends, and ROI across marketplaces and channels.
- Ensure all commercial decisions are backed by strong financial logic and performance tracking.
Business Partnering & Strategic Insights:
- Act as a core business partner to sales, marketing, and operations teams, influencing key decisions.
- Deliver actionable insights through financial analysis, enabling data-driven growth strategies.
- Identify new opportunities to unlock revenue, improve contribution margins, and enhance channel efficiency.
Financial Controls & Value Capture:
- Ensure robust mechanisms for tracking, follow-ups, and collections of all eligible receivables.
- Drive a culture of financial ownership and accountability across teams.
Cost Efficiency & Profitability Enhancements:
- Identify and drive initiatives to reduce the cost of doing business across channels without compromising growth.
- Evaluate cost structures across marketplaces, supply chain, and operations to improve overall efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional cost-saving initiatives and track impact against business goals.
Process Excellence & Scale Building:
- Identify and implement process improvements across financial reporting and business partnering workflows.
- Standardize templates, automate reporting, and build scalable finance processes aligned with business growth.
- Act as a change agent to institutionalize data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Supply Chain & Inventory Finance Oversight:
- Monitor supply chain costs and identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. - Support product costing, margin analysis, and profitability tracking at SKU and channel level.
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing business finance team. - Establish strong processes, discipline, and ownership within the team. - Drive a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Growth & Value Creation:
- Identify new avenues for profitability and value capture across marketplaces and partners.
- Challenge existing assumptions and proactively spot gaps where the business can unlock additional gains.
- Play a key role in shaping the next phase of growth for the brand.
Who You Are:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - First Attempt Pass-out (Mandatory)
- Proven experience in Business Finance within D2C, FMCG, or consumer-driven businesses
- Proven team leadership and people management experience, with the ability to build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams
- Strong exposure to e-commerce marketplace financials (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) and/or Online B2B channels
- Demonstrated ability to own P&L and influence business outcomes through financial insights
- Strong experience in business partnering with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations)
- Deep understanding of profitability levers, pricing, and channel economics
