Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to identify, pursue, and secure new projects and partnerships within the solar energy sector.
- Market Expansion: Lead efforts to explore new market segments, geographical areas, and client opportunities to expand the company's reach and market share.
- Client Acquisition: Drive the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure for high-value solar projects.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, developers, investors, channel partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Potentially build, mentor, and lead a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Revenue Targets: Take ownership of ambitious revenue targets, ensuring consistent achievement and contributing significantly to the company's financial growth.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the solar energy market.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, finance, and marketing to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Proposal Development: Oversee the creation of compelling and technically sound proposals, presentations, and contracts.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of significant business development and sales success within the Solar Energy industry.
- In-depth understanding of solar project development lifecycle, financing models, and regulatory frameworks in India.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build pipelines, and close complex deals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a senior leadership team.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required for business development activities
